Airtasker arrives in London – the new community marketplace for every task imaginable

Imagine you could pay someone to queue for your theatre tickets or get you into London’s latest pop-up. Well now you can, as Airtasker launches today in London, its first market outside Australia.

With 13,000 taskers already signed up to the UK platform and ready to help with almost any task – from handyman services and cleaning, to removing siders and children’s party costume making – Airtasker is on a mission to help busy Londoners get more done.

Airtasker is a marketplace that connects people and businesses with members of the local community who are able to complete tasks to earn additional money. These taskers will assemble your flat-pack furniture, colour coordinate your wardrobe and, if need be help you retrieve a drone you might have gotten stuck in a tree!

But the range of the working opportunities go even further with some extra creative members of the Airasker community posting tasks for:

● make a Unicorn costume for a Halloween party

● a lucky Tasker got paid to fly from Sydney to Paris to pick up sunglasses after fashion week

● two people dressed as stormtroopers to walk a bride down the aisle on her wedding day

● a foodie being paid to find out who sold the best fried chicken in Sydney

Airtasker is the latest company to hit the “sharing economy” scene in the UK. Commenting on the launch, CEO of Airtasker said “We’re excited for Brits to discover all the different ways that Airtasker can help out around the home and at the workplace.”
