Campaign group Menopause Mandate host London event for World Menopause Month

Menopause Mandate, the campaign group chaired by broadcaster and author Mariella Frostrup, is celebrating World Menopause Day (and month!) by hosting a London Walk and Talk event in Battersea, Monday October 14th.

Chair Mariella Frostrup will launch the results of the Menopause Mandate survey at the magnificent Cinema at Battersea Power Station. Penny Lancaster will host a panel about HRT and alternatives with GP and British Menopause Society menopause specialist Dr Juliet Balfour, Lina Chan at Holland & Barrett, MM patron Michelle Griffith Robinson and menopause support adviser Jane Anne James, founder of MHDG Menopause & HRT Discussion Group.

This will be followed by the FREE community Walk and Talk event at 1pm in Battersea Park, sponsored by leading wellness retailer, Holland & Barrett, with supporters, patrons, and advocates and a warm-up with Menopause Mandate patron Lavina Mehta, MBE. This will cover a 2.5km route and is aimed at bringing together women, families, businesses and supporters to raise awareness of menopause and the challenges (and opportunities) it can bring, as part of World Menopause Month.

Once walkers have completed the circuit, they will be greeted with a shiny MM Walk & Talk medal and a Holland & Barrett goody bag.

Menopause Mandate’s patrons, experts and ambassadors will be joining the walk, making it a truly inspiring afternoon of friendship, support, and story sharing.

MM says: “This event is more than just a walk; it’s a movement. Our vision is to continue making this an annual event, spreading across key spaces all over the UK—and one day, the world—raising awareness and creating a global conversation around menopause.”
