Fever’s Candlelight concert series are bringing special Holiday shows to London. Unique venues in the city will be illuminated by thousands of candles, inviting viewers to fully immerse themselves in themed musical programs.
On December 15th, Central Hall Westminster will host a holiday special featuring favourite movie soundtracks such as Let it Snow, Jingle Bells, I’ll be home for Christmas, and more, played by the City String Ensemble. On December 16th, the same venue will present Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker & More interpreted by the Artisti con Brio string quartet accompanied by ballerina dancers. Glazier’s Hall will have an exclusive program featuring jazz classics with a local band. And the Southwark Cathedral will host a Christmas Classics program on December 22nd.
Candlelight Concerts are an original series of music concerts created by Fever, which aim to democratise access to classical music by allowing people all over the world to enjoy live candlelit performances by local musicians. The concerts are hosted in stunning locations, with the space and performers illuminated by thousands of candles.
Candlelight was initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers, such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin. Now, the ever-growing list of programs includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists like Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, as well as shows dedicated to K-Pop, movie soundtracks and many more. The multi-sensory experience has also evolved to feature different elements, such as ballet dancers or aerial performers, as well as other genres, such as jazz, soul, opera, flamenco and more.
