London’s most extraordinary Christmas art trail arrives on Sloane Street this festive season, featuring more than 30 Christmas trees reimagined by artists, designers and luxury brands in support of vulnerable young people across the capital. Quintessentially Foundation will unveil The Firefly Festive Forest on Sloane Street on 12th November, transforming the destination into the city’s largest open-air gallery of artist-designed festive sculptures.
Firefly Festive Forest
Featuring original creations from leading names including Richard Hudson, Charlotte Colbert, Roksanda Ilinčić, Alison Jackson, Tom Faulkner, Charlotte Tilbury and Patrick Mavros, the public art trail will invite visitors to discover a collection of one-of-a-kind Christmas trees displayed along London’s prestigious Sloane Street, stretching from Sloane Square to Knightsbridge.
Contributions, including a giraffe bearing mistletoe, a shimmering tree of illuminated butterflies and a Christmas imagined through the eyes of a Basset Hound, will span celebrity culture, childhood dreams and contemporary design. Highlights include Colbert’s polished stainless-steel tree hung with lights, Jackson’s mischievous celebrity scenes and a striking interpretation inspired by Brutalist architecture by leading fashion designer, Roksanda. Elsewhere, cascading white feathers will evoke freshly fallen snow, hundreds of interlocking aluminium stars celebrate togetherness, and a tree formed from one continuous thread of hand-knotted Himalayan wool and Indian silk draws on the folklore of communal trees. Together, the works will transform the familiar Christmas tree into an unexpected celebration of imagination, craftsmanship and giving.
The Firefly Festive Forest was conceived by Quintessentially Foundation Trustee Ruth Ganesh, whose previous large-scale art exhibitions include The Big Egg Hunt and Elephant Parade. Each participating artist and brand has been invited to interpret the Christmas tree in their own way, creating a collection for visitors to discover as they explore Sloane Street.
On display from 12 November to 1 December 2026, two of the trees will be showcased at Sotheby’s. Following the closing of the trail, the trees will be sold via an online auction to raise funds for Quintessentially Foundation’s charitable partners. The online auction will open at 10am on 12th November and close at midday on 1st December. A chrome tree by artist Richard Hudson is due to be offered separately in a live auction after Quintessentially Foundation’s 15th annual Fayre of St James’s on 24th November. Funds raised from the auction will go directly to supporting and creating brighter futures for children and young people across London through Quintessentially Foundation’s Firefly Project.
Quintessentially Foundation
Founded in 2008 by Sir Ben Elliot, Quintessentially Foundation has raised over £16 million for more than 50 charities. Today, the Foundation supports the city’s most vulnerable young people by backing the small, brilliant charities working on the frontlines of the city’s communities, supporting around 30,000 young people each year across the capital.
Quintessentially Foundation, through its Firefly Project, identifies charities with the potential to grow their impact and provides funding, expert guidance, training and access to its network. It believes the circumstances a young person is born into should not determine their future. The Foundation currently works with seven incredible charities – 20/20 Levels, Create Arts, Drive Forward Foundation, The Kids Network, Let Me Know, Settle, and The Violence Intervention Project (VIP) – who support young people with mentoring, tutoring, educational workshops, therapeutic support, and employment, education and entrepreneurship opportunities
Funds raised through this initiative will help Quintessentially Foundation increase its impact still further in 2027. It will soon expand its network of leading London charities to include those supporting young people into housing and employment, and also plans to establish a new fund to invest in expert-led research that will develop the targeted support that disadvantaged young people need most.
Ruth Ganesh, Trustee of Quintessentially Foundation, said: “Quintessentially Foundation’s Festive Forest showcases London’s most extraordinary creative minds whilst raising vital funds for young people across our city. This collection of trees will be the most special in all of London this year because each one embodies the true spirit of Christmas.”
The Firefly Festive Forest has been generously supported by IBI Logistics, Sotheby’s, Cadogan and All For Love.
The trees will be sold through an online auction from 12th November to 1st December 2026:
