Mother’s Day at the Farms

To celebrate all of the amazing mothers on their special day, Lee Valley Park Farms are offering all mums free entrance on Sunday 11 March.

Families can get up close and personal with the farm-yard animals, take a slide down the slopes of the Alpine Adventure or take ride on Tex the Tractor up to the working Dairy Farm. After all that fun, mums can enjoy a break in the Bumblebee café where they can take advantage of a 20% discount on afternoon tea and cake.

Conquering the rapids at Lee Valley White Water Centre

 

Thrill seeking mums can show off their super status by conquering the white water rapids at Lee Valley White Water Centre. During this exhilarating activity mums will dip, duck and dive through the waves as they paddle their way down this Olympic course.

Taking on the track at Lee Valley VeloPark

 

Cycling mad mums can channel their inner Hoy or Pendleton with Lee Valley VeloPark’s track taster gift vouchers.

No previous experience is required to ride the same track made famous during the London 2012 Olympic Games. During the session beginners will receive a full hour of coaching from the experts in the use of a fixed wheel bike, and learn the basic skills required to safely ride the velodrome track.

Discover the sculpture trail in River Lee Country Park

 

Enjoy the great outdoors with a leisurely bike ride through the beautiful River Lee Country Park on Mothering Sunday. The Artway Route, which starts at Fishers Green and follows a series of sculptures, is perfect for art lovers and outdoor adventurers alike.

The route spreads over 5.5 miles in distance and features an array of artwork including an elegantly carved Viking sign post, carved leaf benches and a giant chair among many others.
