This year is extra special – it’s the 25th year of the awards, which have recognised hundreds of amazing local people for their talent and dedication in inspiring others to get active and stay active over the years. In its quarter-century history the awards have recognised and crowned some exceptional athletes including England rugby star Kyle Sinckler and Olympic athletes Katie Snowden and Steph Davis and recognised hundreds of inspiring local people.

Several awards will reflect on how volunteers and community organisations not only provide traditional playing opportunities but how their connections with the community support those who have experienced inequalities and many barriers, emphasizing the vital role that being active plays in physical and mental wellbeing.
