Fast food is getting a seriously juicy remix this September as the UK’s first ever Fast Fruit Shop lands in London for two days only.
Soft drink Rubicon is teaming up with London chicken shop legends Sam’s Chicken to flip the script on fast food, taking over its Harlesden store with a menu where big fruit flavours are the main event.
Chicken Shop Date fans will recognise Sam’s Chicken’s Harsleden store as one of the venues for Amelia Dimoldenberg’s interview series.
Landing on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September, the free pop-up will give chicken shop classics a tropical glow-up, with a limited-edition menu including:
Cherry Jerk Mango Tostones Tacos
Tropical Pineapple Loaded Fries
Mango Fruit Churros
…as well as fruity twists on some Sam’s classics like a Rubicon Mango Fire Chicken Fillet Burger.
And it’s not just the food getting fruity. The pop-up’s soundtrack gets a tropical remix too, with Rubicon’s interactive fruit keyboard turning real exotic fruits into musical instruments. Visitors can get jamming and serve up their own freshly squeezed hits.
Expect DJs on the decks, exclusive Rubicon prizes up for grabs and complimentary cans of Rubicon Mango, Tropical and Cherry Burst to wash it all down.
“Fast food just got a glow up” says Rubicon’s Lisa McKenna
“We know young people are looking for healthier choices and new ways to socialise beyond pubs and clubs. So, we’ve given their usual night out spot a fruity remix, packed with the big, bold flavours of Rubicon. We can’t wait for London to get a taste.”
The Rubicon x Sam’s Chicken Fast Fruit Shop will be open from 3pm–9pm on Friday 4 September and 1pm–9pm on Saturday 5 September.
Entry, and the food, is completely free, but advance booking is strongly recommended, with limited space also available for walk-ins.
