One of the most important decisions you will make in your life is choosing a destination for your honeymoon: where to go, what to do, and how much time to spend there. There are so many things that can go wrong with this decision – picking a location that doesn’t suit your interests or budget, finding out it’s not as beautiful as you thought it would be once you get there, not having enough time at the resort because of work obligations back home – but if done well, your honeymoon will be perfect. In this article, we’ll discuss 6 amazing destinations that might just fit the bill for an unforgettable honeymoon!
Scotland
The first destination we’ll mention is Scotland. This stunning country in the northern part of Britain offers a lot to couples who are looking for their dream honeymoon spot: beautiful castles, picturesque villages, Scotland lodges with hot tubs, and impressive scenery that includes everything from mountains to rolling hills covered with green grass all around! In addition to being geographically breathtaking, Scotland has some amazing activities for honeymooners to take part in. Here are a few:
- Horseback riding along the beach, which is a very “romantic” way of spending your time together!
- A visit to Edinburgh Castle will give you incredible views from atop Arthur’s Seat and Calton Hill.
- Boat tours through Loch Lomond National Park, where you’ll see areas like Inchmurrin Island and many others that can only be accessed by boat.
The best thing about Scotland as a honeymoon destination? It doesn’t get too crowded even during peak season (July), so there will still be room at most of the attractions on our list!
Italy
We’ve all seen images of the Amalfi Coast, and we know that it’s a place like no other. There are so many different things to do and see here – hiking trails through lemon groves, private boat tours around Capri with its deep blue water, relaxing on secluded beaches lined with white sand cliffs… this is just scratching at the surface! If you’re looking for an unforgettable honeymoon experience in Europe but don’t want to go too far from home (and maybe save some money), Italy is definitely your best bet.
France
If you’ve dreamed of taking a romantic stroll through the streets of Paris, visiting quaint cafés in Provence with lavender trees growing outside your window, or simply seeing the Eiffel Tower again after all these years… then France is perfect for you. And it’s not just Paris that will make this trip worthwhile either – there are plenty of other small towns to explore and enjoy throughout France as well!
One place worth mentioning here is Château de Menthon-Saint Bernard, which has its own private beach where guests can swim during the day. Or if beaches aren’t really your thing but you still want some time on the water enjoying gorgeous views everywhere around you, consider renting a boat for the day instead.
The Caribbean
When we think of the perfect honeymoon destination, many places come to mind: Paris and Rome in Europe, India in Asia, Bali or Thailand for a tropical locale. When you’re talking about an island paradise like the Caribbean, it’s almost impossible not to include it on this list! From upscale resorts that will spoil you with five-star service wherever you go to more casual hideaways where all you need is your bathing suit and some sunscreen (plus maybe a margarita!).
The beaches here are among the best out there – white sand instead of dark brown sand, clear blue water without too much seaweed, and warm breezes keeping things comfortable even during the hottest parts of the day.
Mexico
Mexico is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations for good reason: it’s affordable, fun to explore, and you won’t find yourself feeling crowded even if there are other tourists around. From May through September, the weather in Mexico will be ideal for walking along a beach during sunset or simply spending your days by the pool at your hotel. It doesn’t hurt that Mexican food is among our favorites either!
Hawaii
Last but certainly not least, the island of Maui is a great choice for anyone looking to get hitched in paradise. The weather here is roughly the same all year round so you don’t have to worry about traveling during off-peak seasons and finding everything closed up!
There are several different ways that honeymooners can enjoy this beautiful beach: by booking an upscale resort where you’ll be treated like royalty or renting a condo with your own kitchen and pool. Many visitors prefer spending their time exploring nature trails rather than lounging around on sandy beaches. If hiking sounds more interesting/appealing then consider staying at one of the treehouses instead (yes, they exist!).
We hope these six honeymoon destinations have given you some food for thought. You now know that there are many amazing places to go with your new spouse, so start browsing around for the perfect hotel and plan your trip!
