NLA have today announced the New London Awards 2023 Shortlist, with projects spanning 12 categories and 3 special prizes. Categories range from Workplace and Education to Retrofit and Mixed-Use.
The New London Awards, organised by NLA and supported by the Mayor of London, celebrates projects of varying scales across London. Shortlisted projects are built or unbuilt; their common thread is a sustainable, well-designed and considered approach.
Following this shortlist announcement, an international jury will select winners for each category. Winning projects will be announced at the Annual Lunch, which will take place in November at the Guildhall and include a three-course meal, as well as an Official After Party (sponsored by Lockton).
At the Annual Lunch, three additional prizes – not included in the announced shortlist – will also be awarded. These include the Mayor’s Prize, selected by the Mayor of London and awarded to a project that best reflects the Mayor’s ambition for inclusive design of the city and the People’s Choice Award, recognising the public’s favourite project and voted for by the public on the NLA website.
