90s Dance Icon Janice Robinson wowed sold out crowds at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night, almost 30 years since her biggest hit.

The singer, who is best known for her nineties number 1 platinum selling dance track ‘Dreamer’ with Livin’ Joy, belted out her classic hit and others including Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ alongside a 51 piece orchestra during two shows of Ministry Of Sound Classical.

Janice has been touring with the Ministry Of Sound brand for the last four years, including a string of shows this summer across the UK.

Robinson looked the part, opting to wear a stunning white dress, a glamorous head piece, with sparkly jewellery to compliment her outfit.

Ministry Of Sound Classical Tour featured the greatest dance compilations of all-time hit the stage with favourite dance tracks re-orchestrated, re-imagined, re-lived.

Over 25 years on, The Annual Classical, set to a thrilling laser light production, is brought to life by the stunning 50-piece London Concert Orchestra and sensational vocalists.

The show featured ultimate dance hits from the 90s including: Livin’ Joy (Janice Robinson) – Dreamer, The Chemical Brothers – Hey Boy Hey Girl, Dario G – Sunchyme, Faithless – Insomnia, Fatboy Slim – Right Here, Right Now and many more

Throughout her career, Janice has toured with Snap! as the live vocalist (replacing Penny Ford), toured with New Kids On The Block, appeared on television shows such as Top Of The Pops and Charmed.

She even opened up for Tina Turner on the North America leg of her ‘Twenty Four Seven’ Tour, in which Turner picked Robinson especially for the shows.

Turner heard the Dreamer singers debut album ‘The Color Within Me’ and wanted her as the opening act alongside Lionel Richie.

After her sad passing, Robinson revealed Turner was like a ‘mentor’ and a ‘fairy godmother’.

“She was the kind of person that everyone needs in their life – giving, warm, dedicated and loving. And that smile…it would just light you up from the inside.

“She was a ball of fire and love, and a genuinely good person who would always make you feel comfortable and seen in her presence.

“Tina was the first person to validate me as a solo artist and taught me never to give up on myself and on life. Inviting me to be her opening act has been the biggest thing for me.”

Robinson is currently working on a new dance album and a documentary about her life story. The documentary will see the singer discuss stories she has never shared from her solo career to her personal life.

From becoming one of the biggest stars of the nineties, having a hit record, touring with Tina, taking a hiatus to take care for her parents and raise her two daughters Amaya and Kura, to her comeback.

Janice made headlines in 2018 after she appeared on The X Factor and shared with the world that her daughter became legally blind and lost her sight after developing pseudotumor cerebri, a condition in which the pressure in the brain rises, at just 16 years old.
