Award winning, new, Arts Council England NPO Fresh Arts has announced that it will be making a permanent home in Wembley Park – London’s most exciting new neighbourhood. From 3rd June 2024, Fresh Arts will be based at former community hub, The Yellow. Fresh Arts works with over 30 school partners to make the arts more accessible to children from all backgrounds, delivering arts projects to support mental health and wellbeing, enrichment clubs, curriculum support and arts qualifications. In their new base in Wembley Park they will expand on this work delivering a range of programmes including, arts education sessions, community workshops, theatre school classes, afterschool enrichment clubs and holiday camps.
Fresh Arts’ work encompasses drama, dance, music and art, with an emphasis on inclusivity, and nurturing children’s confidence and creativity. Artistic Director Davinia Khan and Managing Director Pierre Khan are keenly aware of the power of creativity to support positive mental wellbeing and self-esteem and believe the arts should be accessible to all. They will deliver an exciting range of arts based classes to the local community as well facilitating a programme of community led initiatives such as a creative coffee morning, playgroup, and a pensioners group.
“I grew up in Wembley, while my grandparents arrived in Brent as part of the Windrush Generation. Joining the Wembley Park community with Fresh Arts therefore feels like an incredibly special moment. We believe that the benefits of participating in the arts should be accessible for children from all backgrounds. The Fresh Arts team is delighted to be here delivering an exciting arts education programme and increasing cultural opportunities for children in Brent.

Fresh Arts’ permanent home in Wembley Park adds to a wealth of creativity-focused businesses and leisure venues in the neighbourhood. These range from affordable studios housing 80 artists and makers, courtesy of Second Floor Studios and Arts, to the specially designed new ‘Starlight Auditorium’ at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, which will host Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Starlight Express musical from June. This summer will also see arts charity Punchdrunk Enrichment bring a unique new immersive theatre experience to Wembley Park.
A National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England, Fresh Arts will deliver its mission to make arts education accessible to all, regardless of background, from its new home on Wembley Park’s Humphry Repton Lane. The arts education hub will build on the success of the former community hub, The Yellow, through a range of programmes. Afterschool arts clubs will serve children of primary school age, while the Fresh Arts Theatre School will offer performing arts sessions and training for children aged 3-16. A selection of workshops and training opportunities will also be available for students and young adults. Fresh Arts holiday camps will provide a fun enriching school holiday experience for local children.
