Magnolia Court Care Home is celebrating after Head of Housekeeping Diana Harry was named Care Home Housekeeper of the Year at the National Care Awards.
The awards, which recognise excellence across the UK care sector, took place on Friday 6 November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London. The evening was hosted by comedian Tom Allen.
Magnolia Court was shortlisted in three categories: Care Home Housekeeper of the Year for Diana, Deputy Manager of the Year for Uche Nwawolo, and Care Home Team of the Year for the Magnolia Court team.
Diana’s award recognises her attention to detail and the pride she takes in keeping Magnolia Court spotlessly clean. She was accompanied at the awards by two members of her team, Mairita Gulbe and Simona Divisevici. Her housekeeping colleagues also include Ama Amponsah and Tapan Rai.
Diana said: “I’m the Head of Housekeeping at Barchester’s Magnolia Court Care Home. The most rewarding part of my job is working with my team to make our residents’ home feel clean, comfortable and welcoming.
“Winning this award means a lot to me. I’m proud that the work we do every day has been recognised, and I’m grateful to my team for all their hard work and support.”

The Magnolia Court team was also congratulated in person by Michelle Macadangdang, Managing Director for Barchester’s South East Division; Nataša Lazovic, Chief Operating Officer; and Dr Pete Calveley, Chief Executive.
