London’s coffee lovers are in for a treat this September. For one working week, Gett – the UK’s favourite black cab app, and provider of leading ground transportation management (GTM) platform – will be giving away free hot drinks* out of an iconic black cab.
The Gett Coffee Cab will hit the streets between 12th – 16th September, cruising around some of the Capital’s most popular areas. Crossing paths with the Gett Coffee Cab will give lucky Londoners a free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate – with up to 500 drinks up for grabs each day.
“We know that September typically means a return to work for many of us, so we wanted to give Londoners a lift of a different kind,” said Katie Smith, Marketing Director at Gett. “Our black cabs are an iconic part of life in the Capital, and our drivers are always ready to take people to the places they need to go. This week, they’ll be offering the ultimate pick-me-up – whether that’s a comfy ride or, if you spot the Gett Coffee Cab, a quick burst of caffeine.”
And it’s not just coffee up for grabs. If you’re lucky enough to spot the Gett Coffee Cab, take a quick snap, post it on social media with the hashtag #GettCoffeeCab. At the end of the week, the Gett team will choose their favourite 5 posts – with the lucky winners each receiving £50 of free Gett credit to spend on taxis.**
If you don’t manage to spot the Gett Coffee Cab, you can always hitch an eco-friendly ride with Gett. Earlier this year, Gett announced that the App now has more than 3,000 electric black taxis available to book in London. And – to further help the environment – Gett’s riders are able to select ‘Gett Green’ with each trip taken. This adds a £1.99 donation to the trip cost, funding green projects via Gett’s partnership with UK charity, Trees for Cities.
