Families across London are invited to experience the magic of Aardman animation on the big screen this spring bank holiday weekend, as Carrot Productions brings the spectacular Aardman in Concert to Cadogan Hall. On Saturday 2 May 2026, audiences can celebrate 50 years of the iconic animation studio with an evening of beloved film moments brought to life with the power and warmth of a live orchestra.

Warm, funny and full of heart, Aardman in Concert celebrates the characters and stories that generations of families have grown up with, combining classic animation with the thrilling atmosphere of a live orchestral performance. Audiences of all ages can enjoy favourite moments from Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph, Creature Comforts and more in a joyful celebration of British storytelling.

The first half of the performance offers a vibrant journey through Aardman’s extraordinary 50-year history, opening with a specially created montage sequence and score that showcases Wallace & Gromit’s most daring escapades, Shaun the Sheep’s funniest moments, and appearances from characters that have become part of everyday family life.

The second half of the concert features a full screening of Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death, accompanied live by orchestra. In the film, Wallace and Gromit run their ‘Top Bun’ bakery while a mysterious serial killer stalks the town’s bakers. With Wallace distracted by romance and danger closing in, it’s once again up to Gromit to step in and save the day.

Together, the film and live music create a joyful celebration of British storytelling, craft and humour, offering families the chance to laugh together, share memories, and introduce younger audiences to characters that have been part of our lives for decades.

Rachel Whibley, Managing Director of Carrot Productions, said: “Celebrating 50 years of Aardman with our orchestra feels incredibly special. These are characters many of us grew up with, and now we’re seeing families bring their own children to experience them live. Bringing the show to Cadogan Hall, one of London’s most beautiful concert venues, makes it even more exciting. Creating something that parents, children and grandparents can enjoy together is exactly what Carrot, and our friends at Aardman, are about.”

Molly Van Den Brink, Senior Attractions & Live Experiences Manager at Aardman says: “What better way to continue our longstanding partnership with Carrot Productions than celebrating our 50th anniversary together, allowing fans of all ages the chance to experience our favourite Aardman moments from the last 50 years in such a joyful and uplifting concert, while introducing children to the wonder of a live orchestra.”

The show builds on Carrot Productions’ long-standing creative partnership with Aardman, including the award-winning Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels, created for a 38-performance tour in 2019. That production premiered at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield and was attended by Nick Park and Julian Nott, who both studied and met there, and where A Grand Day Out was first conceived. The show went on to win Best Licensed Live Event at the Licensing Excellence Awards 2020, cementing Carrot’s reputation for creating distinctive orchestral experiences built around Aardman’s most loved characters.

The London performance forms part of the wider Aardman in Concert 2026 tour, which will visit venues across the country including Birmingham, Salisbury, Guildford, Bristol, York, Newcastle, Manchester, Leicester, Nottingham and Chester.

Cadogan Hall, located in the heart of Chelsea, is one of London’s most elegant and acoustically renowned concert venues. Originally built in 1907 and now home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the hall hosts a vibrant programme of concerts and cultural events throughout the year.
