Acclaimed television director Erron Gordon is joining GB News as Executive Creative Director.
Erron will lead the creative vision of GB News, including an updated look for the channel’s main studios in London’s Paddington and its new studios in Westminster.
He joins from TalkTV, which he helped to launch last year and where he directed the flagship programme Piers Morgan Uncensored.
A previous nominee at the Royal Television Society’s Craft Awards, he spent 13 years at ITV where he launched and directed Good Morning Britain and Peston, and relaunched sets for Loose Women and Lorraine.
He was also the creative lead and director for major election debates including Johnson v Corbyn and the ITV Debate in 2019.
Erron started his career in 1997 as a floor manager at ITN’s 5 News before moving to Sky News and later GMTV. He launched Good Morning Britain in 2014, overseeing the set design, graphics, and music.
“GB News is already well on track to being the Number One news channel by 2028, so I’m thrilled at the chance to ensure it’s also Britain’s best-looking news channel,” he said.
He added: “Like GB News itself, I intend to innovate and push boundaries while retaining the warmth, relatability, and quintessentially British feel that its audiences love so much.”
Chief Executive Officer Angelos Frangopoulos said: “We’re delighted that Erron is joining the People’s Channel. He’s one of the best creative forces in current affairs broadcasting and will be key to delivering the next phase of our investment in studios and programming.”
