Activate at The O2, the UK’s newest high-energy immersive, active gaming experience, is gearing up for an influx of families this school holiday season.
Since opening earlier this year, Activate at The O2 has welcomed more than 50,000 visitors in just six weeks, quickly becoming the top-performing Activate venue worldwide. Families, friends, and thrill-seekers of all ages have been queuing up to jump, climb and problem-solve their way through this one-of-a-kind experience.
Designed for groups of two to five, Activate combines cutting-edge technology with real-time challenges in 12 adrenaline-fuelled game rooms, including fan favourites like Laser, Grid, Hoops and Portals. With varying difficulty levels, it’s perfect for children, teens – and even grown-ups ready to let loose.
“After the incredible reception we had at The O2, it’s clear Activate is a hit with families looking for exciting ways to spend time together,” said Rich Beese, Co-Founder of We Do Play, the group behind Activate UK. “And with the long summer holidays coming up, we are getting ready to welcome many more families looking to compete with each other – it’s the ultimate activity for kids with energy to burn!”
Located in the heart of The O2’s bustling entertainment district, Activate offers a safe, dynamic environment to beat boredom and keep kids engaged over the summer break. Whether it’s a birthday celebration, a family day out, or just a fun way to unplug and connect, Activate delivers a gaming experience like no other.
Originally launched in Canada in 2017, Activate has exploded into a global sensation, with over 60 locations worldwide and more than 750 million social media views. The brand is now rolling out across the UK and has just opened in Newcastle’s MetroCentre with new venues planned in Leicester and Oxford Street, London, later this year.
An hour Activate experience costs £29.50 per person during the peak holiday season.
