Aer Lingus offers a connecting route to Barbados from the UK for spring 2026

Aer Lingus will operate a temporary scheduled service between Dublin and Barbados for spring 2026. The seasonal route will run from 31 March 2026 to 31 May 2026* offering a connecting route from UK airports including London Heathrow, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, Bristol and Southampton for a limited time.

The service connecting Dublin and Bridgetown will be operated using Aer Lingus’ most modern Airbus A321XLR aircraft and will run three times weekly, departing Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, joining a packed schedule of connecting routes available for UK travellers. With its white sands and turquoise waters, the island offers visitors an unforgettable escape. There’s over 50 picture-perfect beaches and wildlife enthusiasts may even spot the iconic Barbados Green Monkeys in their natural habitat.

Beyond the tropical beaches, Bridgetown, the island’s capital, is steeped in rich heritage dating back centuries. The Bridgetown Historic Garrison is UNESCO World Heritage site and visitors to the city can immerse themselves in the colourful local lifestyle as they walk down Swan Street’s lively shops and market stalls.

Connecting to North America

As well as the new Caribbean connection, Aer Lingus will launch a further two new connecting routes from Dublin to Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina and historic Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, taking off in April and May 2026 respectively. Both routes offer convenient connections from the UK for customers hoping to see somewhere new this summer.

Whether it’s country music, or attending the famous Indy 500, Aer Lingus’ North American network offers something for every kind of traveller. The airline will boost its Dublin routes to Nashville and Indianapolis from four to five weekly flights this summer. Convenient connections are also available from the UK via Dublin to Washington (Dulles), Chicago, and the bright lights of Las Vegas. UK passengers benefit from US Preclearance at the Dublin Hub, allowing them to arrive in America as if they’re locals.
