AMAZÓNICO LONDON UNVEILS INNOVATIVE COCKTAIL MENU CELEBRATING THE AMAZON RAINFOREST’S MAJESTIC RIVERS

Amazónico London, the acclaimed Latin American restaurant in Mayfair, has launched an ambitious new cocktail menu that takes guests on a voyage through the Amazon. Inspired by the rich ecosystems and cultural influences of Latin America, the new collection of cocktails pays homage to the beating heart of the rainforest – its rivers.

With over 1,100 rivers feeding into the Amazon, the new menu celebrates those waterways with the greatest ecological and cultural significance. Each cocktail reflects the depth of flavour, diversity, and natural wonder found along these tributaries, combining exotic ingredients, rare spirits, and expert mixology.

As part of this innovative offering is the spectacular ‘Amazónico Lost Explorer Infuser’ – a bespoke six-glass infusion system created in partnership with premium artisanal Mezcal and Tequila brand, The Lost Explorer. This now stands as a captivating focal point at the front of the restaurant and allows for a slow infusion process lasting between 12 to 36 hours, expertly extracting flavours from carefully curated fruits, spices, and herbs sourced from regions surrounding the Amazon River.

The menu draws inspiration from the rich biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest, with cocktails named after significant Amazonian rivers:

Ica – Inspired by the river that flows near Mexico and Peru, this creative blend marries The Lost Explorer’s Espadín and Salmiana infusions with chicha morada, membrillo, pineapple, and spices, offering fresh spicy notes with subtle smokiness.
Tigre – Representing the two-toned waters of its namesake river, this playful take on the Piña Colada arrives concealed inside a pineapple, featuring passion fruit and Brazilian nuts for a tropical twist.
Napo – A tribute to the river connecting Ecuador and Peru to the Amazon, this unique Spritz is served in a wave-shaped vessel carrying a seashell. It combines Cîroc Vodka, melon, Aperol, prickly pear, and Champagne, evoking the vibrant landscapes of the rainforest.
Tapajos – Inspired by the crystal-clear waters of one of the Amazon’s key tributaries, this striking cocktail is presented in a Macaw Parrot carrier, adding an element of theatricality as it makes its way through the restaurant.

In addition to the new river-inspired creations, the menu features six signature Amazónico classics, beloved across its global locations. These include the Sangria Blanca, infused with gin and tropical fruits; the Rainforest Old Fashioned, blending rum with açaí; and the Save the Jungle, a bold twist on the traditional caipirinha featuring tamarillo. This curated selection of fan-favorite cocktails will be available at all Amazónico locations, including Madrid, Dubai, London, Monte Carlo, and the highly anticipated Miami opening in Summer 2025.

“The Amazon is more than a river – it connects people, cultures, and traditions. This, together with an homage to nature, is at the core of our concept,” explains Sandro Silva, Founder of Amazónico. Inspired by this philosophy, the new menu highlights 17 of the most influential Amazonian tributaries, each with its own ecological and cultural significance. These waterways have shaped the landscapes and communities of the rainforest for centuries, and their essence is reflected in each carefully crafted cocktail. Amazónico London, part of the globally expanding restaurant group founded by Silva and his wife, Marta Seco, continues to celebrate the biodiversity and heritage of the Amazon through its innovative approach to gastronomy and mixology. Set against a backdrop of lush interiors designed by renowned artist Lázaro Rosa-Violan and accompanied by live Bossa Nova and Latin American jazz, the restaurant offers a truly immersive experience – one that transports guests on a journey through the heart of the rainforest.

The new cocktail menu at Amazónico London expands the restaurant’s beverage programme with thoughtful nods to the Amazon’s geography and culture. Drawing inspiration from the rainforest’s waterways, these drinks complement the restaurant’s established Latin American cuisine and lively atmosphere. The menu continues Amazónico’s tradition of bringing elements of South American flavours to Mayfair, with each cocktail offering guests a taste of the region’s distinctive ingredients and spirits.
