Charmaine Taylor, Head Chef at Rectory Court and Leah Lodge care homes in Blackheath, South London has been announced as a regional winner at the Great British Care Awards, in the Care Home Chef category.
Commenting on the award win, Charmaine Taylor, Head Chef at Rectory Court and Leah Lodge, “I was amazed to receive this recognition; however, the real award is seeing our residents thrive. I put my heart and soul into our cooking, and it is important that our residents enjoy their meals, as well as having their nutritional and dietary needs supported. I am very proud of how far I have come in the last eight years, completing my professional chef & production qualifications whilst with Cinnamon.”
Charmaine started at Rectory Court as a second chef in November 2018 and was promoted to Head Chef of both homes in early 2020. Her role is to work closely with her team and the residents to provide a nutritional and healthy menu that results in an exceptional in-house dining experience.
