RALLY, the community-driven music and arts festival, announces Blood Orange – the artistic project of musician, composer and producer Devonté Hynes – for a headline live performance at its 2026 edition in Southwark Park.
Fresh off the success of the acclaimed Essex Honey — Blood Orange’s first full-length album under the alias in six years — and following a string of sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace, Devonté Hynes will play a pivotal role in shaping RALLY’s most ambitious edition yet, performing live and contributing to the curation of the festival’s main stage.
Returning to Southwark Park on Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 29th August, RALLY’s fourth edition will strengthen its roots in grassroots culture and meaningful collaboration. Co-curated by NTS Radio, GALA and Bird On The Wire, the 2026 programme will build on a legacy of championing visionary artists across alternative, electronic, and experimental music, with past lineups featuring CASISDEAD, Nourished By Time, Moin, Erika de Casier, bar italia, Floating Points, Ben UFO, and Mount Kimbie. For 2026, RALLY will continue its collaboration with global tastemaker radio NTS, with further festival partners, a visual arts and culture programme, and a full lineup to be announced early next year.
The reveal of Blood Orange lays the foundation for next summer – further cementing RALLY as London’s foremost independent festival for alternative live music. At the heart of this year’s edition will be a landmark headline set from the London-born, New York-based artist, who will also bring his distinct creative vision to co-curate one of the festival’s core stages. Celebrated for his fusion of synth-funk, neo-soul and experimental R&B Blood Orange has become one of the most influential and shape-shifting artists of the past decade.
Hynes’ artistic outlook — rooted in independence, experimentation and creative ownership — echoes RALLY’s own mission to platform bold, boundary-pushing voices and nurture artistic integrity. The Essex Honey album captures the warmth and nostalgia that has long shaped the Blood Orange sound — a musical homecoming of sorts, tracing his journey back to England and his Essex roots. It’s an intimate album with collaboration and community at its heart. In that spirit, his return to London for RALLY feels resonant and full-circle.
