Bluewater shopping centre has unveiled a first look glimpse of the Elf Door entrance to its world-exclusive, interactive Christmas adventure, from The Lumistella Company’s The Elf on the Shelf® Santaverse™, the official storytelling world of Santa Claus.
Following the launch of ticket sales in October, the artist’s impression for the Elf Door entrance to The Elf on the Shelf® Christmas Adventure has now been released, giving guests a taste of what to expect from the immersive festive experience.
As families step through the 11-feet-high Elf Door, they will be transported to a North Pole-inspired world of wonder and festive play. Guests will find themselves immersed in a fun mission of festive games and challenges with the aim of helping Santa’s one and only Scout Elves spread Christmas cheer to make sure Christmas gets off to a flying start.
After making a wish at the wish-gatherer, challenges will include Christmas tree decorating and snowball throwing. Meanwhile Santa will be watching over the ‘Christmas Spiritmeter’, a magical machine monitoring Christmas Spirit levels.
Santa plans to drop into some sessions to encourage the children to complete all the challenges on their Christmas Spirit Checklists. Guests will collect stamps on their checklists as they complete games and challenges and there will be an Elf Name Generator to provide individual elf names. Finally, each child will receive a gift to take home to remember their festive adventure.
The interactive theatrical experience, which will be located on the Upper Rose Gallery, next to FatFace, will make its global debut on 16 November and runs until Christmas Eve*. Tickets are now available to purchase for £6.50 per adult and £14.50 per child. What’s more, 10am and 10.30am slots on Thursdays and Sundays will be reserved for accessible sessions. In these sessions, sensory adjustments will be made including reduced noise and a less formal structure.
James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: “We are thrilled to unveil the first look at the enchanting Elf Door, which marks the entrance to The Elf on the Shelf® Christmas Adventure. The Elf Door gives just a hint of the festive magic that awaits, and we can’t wait for our guests to step inside and begin their own adventures this Christmas.
“Tickets are already selling fast, with some sessions now completely sold out, and we urge families to book their visits sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. This is the most hotly-anticipated Christmas experience we’ve ever launched – it’s a true world-first experience.”
“Bringing the enchanted world of Santa Claus directly to our fans during the festive season fulfils our purpose of creating joyful moments for families around the world,” said Chanda Bell, co-CEO of The Lumistella Company and co-creator of The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. “We are pleased to partner with Bluewater to share the joy and goodwill of Santaverse through this immersive experience.”
