Officers investigating the disappearance of a 43-year-old man from Barking, Christopher Knowles, have recovered a body.
Mr Knowles was last seen on 1 March when he was fishing close to the lake at The Chase in Rush Green, Romford.
On Monday, 18 March, a body was recovered from the lake.
Although formal identification awaits, the family of Mr Knowles have been informed of this development.
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
