Boris did mislead Parliament, says Nigel Farage

BORIS Johnson did mislead Parliament but removing his House of Commons pass would be “petty and vindictive”, according to Nigel Farage.

He told GB News: “I’m sad for him. I’m sad also for Brexit that this has happened, because I can see already articles in The Guardian suggesting, ‘ah well now that Boris has gone we can reverse Brexit’.

“But did he mislead parliament? I’m afraid I do believe that he did.”

Nigel added: “It was absolutely unequivocal in saying that they believe, that committee, by the way a majority of whom were actually Conservative members of Parliament, they believe that he did knowingly mislead Parliament.

“The word mislead appeared 93 times amongst those 30,000 words. Its conclusions, to say that he would have been recommended for a ban of 90 days had he stayed as an MP, is something which MPs will still vote on next Monday.

“And then to remove his house of commons pass, I thought looked petty, at best vindictive and nasty at worst. That was, I think, wholly unnecessary, and nasty.”

He added: “There was an element I thought today, of Remainer revenge, people being absolutely delighted that the man at the top associated with us leaving the European Union a couple of years ago that he’d finally been toppled.”
