Get in the festive spirit this December and join Bow Arts as they open their doors for the annual Winter Market, giving visitors the chance to meet their creative community of artists, makers and designers and purchase locally made gifts and handcrafted artworks.

Featuring over 20 artist and makers stalls, visitors are welcome to browse a variety of unique treasures on sale from independent creatives across Bow Arts’ studios and beyond. Among the stalls, visitors will find fun, colourful and squiggly ceramics, handbuilt, glazed and fired in East London; sustainable, ethically made accessories and decorations; bespoke pieces of sterling silver jewellery; beautiful vintage clogs and more.

Running alongside the market, there will be a free, drop-in festive art workshop giving local families and kids the chance to create seasonal cards in this festive family printmaking session. On sale from Bow Arts’ very own Nunnery Café will be delicious mince pies, mulled wine and tasty seasonal treats.

Next door, the Nunnery Gallery will be showing In the footsteps of the East London Group, an exhibition exploring the past and present of east London, bringing together the historical paintings of the East London Group with their 21st century contemporaries. Visitors of all ages will be delighted to pick out their local streets and landmarks in these fascinating paintings that depict east London across the past 100 years.

Held in the Bow Arts Courtyard, come and discover Bow Arts’ community of talented local artists, whilst marking the start of the festive season with their east London neighbours.
