Boa Nova, a day-long celebration of Brazilian music, will take place in Leyton Jubilee Park, East London, on Friday 22 May 2026. It is highlight of the UK/Brazil Season of Culture 2025-26, a yearlong cultural exchange between the British Council and Brazil’s Instituto Guimarães Rosa (IGR).
Boa Nova is a first for the UK: a multi-stage outdoor festival dedicated solely to Brazilian music featuring the most exciting musicians coming from Brazil today.
The line-up for Boa Nova includes João Gomes, Mari Froes and Liniker, A Musica De Tim Maia, D. Vyzor, Caio Prince, th4ys, Bronka, DJ Patife And Mango & Ginger, artists representing distinct directions in Brazil’s current music scene. A variety of Brazilian food and drink vendors, including Aroma Grill and Broll Grill, specialising in traditional Brazilian Churrasco, will complement the experience with authentic dishes and flavours, offering attendees a taste of Brazil’s rich culinary heritage.
The UK/Brazil Season of culture marks 200 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. It encompasses all artforms, including music, dance, literature, film and visual arts.
