Bromley FC Women take to the CooperJax Community Stadium on Sunday 8th March as they host AFC Greenwich Borough in a special International Women’s Day fixture. The club is encouraging supporters to come along and back the women’s team.
The match forms part of Project 1,000, an initiative launched by Bromley FC to bring 1,000 supporters through the gates in support of women’s football and the wider women and girls’ pathway across the borough.
Project 1,000: Backing the Girls
Project 1,000 is a simple but ambitious goal: to bring people together to support Bromley FC Women on International Women’s Day. It is about more than a number – it is about visibility, belief, and showing women and girls in Bromley that football is for them, and that support matters.
With the current women’s home attendance record standing at 669, the fixture provides an opportunity to break the existing record and demonstrate the growing backing behind the women’s game. With both the men’s and women’s teams enjoying strong seasons, the match offers supporters the chance to support the club across both teams.
Your Ticket Gives Back
Attending the match does more than support the team on the pitch. All profits from the fixture will be reinvested directly into Women and Girls’ programmes delivered by Bromley FC Community Trust, supporting opportunities from grassroots participation through to initiatives such as women’s walking football.
Tickets for the fixture are £5 for adults, with U18s free (Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult).
A Strong Home Record to Build On
Bromley FC Women return to the CooperJax Community Stadium with confidence. The last time the side played there, they produced a memorable FA Cup performance, scoring 12 goals in front of a season‑best home crowd of 433. The team will be looking to draw on that level of support once again on 8th March.
Community Fan Zone
Bromley FC Community Trust will be hosting a Community Fan Zone on matchday, open from 11:30am and offering a range of free activities for all the family. Activities include:
Football challenges
Face painting
Arts and crafts
Music and more
Food and drink will be available throughout the day from Broomfields Bar and Kitchen.
Following full-time, Bromley FC Women players will be available to meet supporters, with opportunities to take photos, sign autographs, and thank fans for their support.
A Day to Celebrate the Women’s Game
Through Project 1,000, the club is inviting the community to play their part in supporting the women’s game.
By attending the match, supporters help to:
Reinvest all profits into women and girls’ programmes
Backing a team pushing for promotion
Create visible role models in football
