Burger & Lobster is bringing an Irish late-night legend to the table this St Patrick’s Day – with a shellfish twist. Introducing the UK’s first-ever Lobster Spice Bag: reimagining Ireland’s most iconic cult takeaway order – the Spice Bag.
What’s the crack?
Born in Irish Chinese takeaways and fuelled by decades of post-pub cravings, the Spice Bag is Ireland’s unofficial national treasure: a delicious mix of crispy fries, fried chicken, peppers, onions and Chinese-style spices, paired with curry sauce and devoured at 1am like it’s a sacred ritual.
Burger & Lobster’s Lobster Spice Bag is just as indulgeable…

Why does it matter?
Irish food is having a moment. From Dublin-inspired wine bars to Tayto sandwiches on London menus, a new wave of Irish chefs, producers and second-generation diaspora talent are reshaping how the world sees Irish cuisine – proudly modern, culturally confident and rooted in tradition.
At the heart of that culture? The Spice Bag. Born in Irish Chinese takeaways in the 2000s, the Spice Bag became more than a late-night order. It is the taste of afters, a rite of passage, a symbol of Irish youth culture.
Available in all UK Burger & Lobster restaurants from Tuesday 17th March, for 4 weeks, via dine in, takeaway and Uber Eats. To book, head to the Burger & Lobster website: https://www.burgerandlobster.com/
