Two of the UK’s top Jewish comedy performers Rachel Creeger and Philip Simon made headline news at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last month when shockingly both of their venues cancelled their shows at the eleventh hour.

Immediately JW3 reached out to offer both shows a SAFE SPACE TO PERFORM in London’s JW3, in NW3 this Autumn – and JW3 is delighted to be presenting both of the award-winning shows Rachel Creeger: Ultimate Jewish Mother on Wednesday 17 September at 7.30pm; and Philip Simon: Shall I Compare Thee In A Funny Way? on Wednesday 22 October at 7.30pm. jw3.org.uk

Their comedy shows did indeed find new venues in the Scottish capital – and both comedy talents went on to win coveted Pegasus Comedy Awards, the alternative Edinburgh Fringe awards! Rachel Creeger won the Spirit of the Fringe Award 2025 and her fellow comic and co-host of the podcast Jew Talkin’ To Me? Philip Simon, won Compilation Show of the Year Award 2025 for his Jew-O-Rama!

Their shows = no politics, no religion, no bitterness – just pure joyously funny Jewish Comedy.

In her post-cancelled show, Rachel Creeger, rises like the deceased Fruma Sarah (Lazar Woolf’s first wife), from the dream sequence in Fiddler on the Roof! And Philip Simon’s hilarious mix of jokes and spontaneous chat is JW3’s only comedy gig where the audience is in control!

With cracking reviews, the JW3 audiences are in for seriously great comedy this Autumn – and yes chicken soup rears its healthy head!

Comedy continues big time at JW3 until the end of 2025 with the world premiere of standup Mark Maier’s new show Jewvenile on Tuesday 18 November as he dives deep into Jewish life!

And the monthly JW3 Comedy Club returns on Sunday 30 November and Thursday 18 December with fantastic line-ups of Jewish acts from the comedy circuit – compered by Rachel Creeger!

JW3 = Welcoming – a safe space – open to all – the home of Jewish culture and conversation – slap bang in the middle of the Finchley Road NW3.
