Bromley resident Dominic Doran got to treat his family to a luxury night out in London to show his gratitude for their ongoing support, thanks to an initiative run by leading home care provider, Caremark.

Caremark’s national Care for a Wish initiative, launched to mark its 20th anniversary, is granting wishes to just 20 people across the UK to create meaningful moments for people receiving care.

Dominic, who receives care from the Caremark Bromley franchise, took his mum Moira, sister Mary-Clare, and dad Antony to see Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty’s Theatre in London at the end of October, followed by dinner at top Mayfair restaurant The Wolseley.

Commenting on having his wish granted, Dominic said: “I was so delighted to win and absolutely did not expect it, which made it all the more special. My family are always on hand to help me achieve my dreams and aspirations, and it was fantastic to treat them to something luxurious as a way of showing my heartfelt gratitude.

“I want to thank Ajay, Sharon, Rosemary and all the team at Caremark for helping to organise this wonderful treat and day out. It was a real thrill to experience all the excitement of a live show together with my family, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff at the theatre were also most helpful, which made our visit a first-class experience.”

According to David Glover, CEO of Caremark, the Care for a Wish campaign isn’t simply a celebration of 20 years, it is also a reminder of what Caremark does to support people’s wellbeing, dignity and joy through a commitment to enhancing their quality of life, alongside meeting their care needs.

David said, “It’s incredibly humbling to be able to grant these wishes for the people we care for. Every single entry we received was meaningful, and the ones we’ve been able to fulfil have been especially poignant. These wishes are all about the opportunity for our customers to have moments of joy and connection and create new memories that will be cherished. Making experiences happen for our wonderful customers like Dominic is a complete privilege.”
