Following Boris Johnston’s statement to the House of Commons, leading entertainment hotspot for Lewisham locals, Catford Mews, will be reopening their Compound Coffee café for takeaways from 07 July.
There will be brand new outdoor seating, and Compound Coffee are adding a refill element to their coffee shop in their mission to be more sustainable. The membership scheme to enjoy full entertainment experience will also be available to use again from 07 July. The Catford Mews’ cinema, bar and events programme are looking to follow shortly after with an opening planned for the end of July / early August.
The cultural hub recently launched a survey shared with their 2,300 subscribers, and received 500 responses within the first 24 hours (a total of 630 responses were recorded).
In response to the coronavirus lockdown, Catford Mews has played a big part in keeping locals well connected, by creating virtual experiences such as Now What, which continues to support short film makers by platforming a new film every week, as well as a virtual quiz series. The next one is scheduled for 30 June.
Catford Mews is also helping keep the spirt of entrepreneurship alive in the community by supporting businesses with a low cost space to operate from. This has been a very trailing and unprecedented time for all kind of businesses, and now more than ever, the community must pull together to make sure independent businesses have a chance to survive.
Catford Mews want to keep the conversation going; whether it’s a food business. retail, event, networking – long term or short time pop ups – they have plenty of space to safely host business and events from. For small businesses to get in touch, please contact the team on: [email protected].
