South Asian Heritage month kicks off next week (18 July – 17 August) and to celebrate, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery invites everyone to a special Thursday Late on 7 August 2025.
Marking the festival’s theme ‘Roots to Routes’, the event features a programme of drop-in and bookable experiences that explore food, identity, dance, and art.
Highlights:
The Migration Menu Podcast Live (6.30–7.30pm, pay-what-you-can): Acclaimed author and broadcaster Sathnam Sanghera joins hosts Dr Luke Heslop and Professor James Staples for a live recording of the hit podcast exploring South Asian food, memory, and migration.
Live Bhangra Workshop by Bhangra Dance London (6–7pm, free): Join a high-energy, drop-in dance session for all ages led by the UK’s leading Punjabi Folk Dance Academy.
Life Drawing with 2B or Not 2B Collective (6–6.45pm and 7–7.45pm, £10 per session): Two inclusive and playful drawing sessions celebrating marginalised bodies and inspired by the exhibitions.
Vegetarian Brown Girls Present: Crisps But Better
“Crisps but Better” is the street food spin-off from Vegetarian Brown Girls, the Gujarati supper club featured in Vogue for its bold, home-style cooking and community spirit. They will be serving an Indian street food called chaat inside crisp packets with their latest addition, a refreshing iced chai.
Shree Krishna Vada Pav (SKVP)
This vegetarian restaurant will be bringing their vibrant flavours of Mumbai street food and Maharashtrian delicacies to the heart of Ealing.
