From the 20-21 July audiences will see over 500 local dancers of all ages take to the New Wimbledon Theatre stage for a series of shows packed with fun for the whole family.
Join the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) for a three-show run of Seasons at the historic New Wimbledon Theatre. The production features a variety of performances by students from RAD’s Dance School, including the Silver Swans (RAD’s programme for older dancers) who recently featured on ITV’s This Morning.
Audiences will be treated to a range of dance styles beyond ballet such as jazz, hip hop and musical theatre.
Seasons is a culmination of months of rehearsals, and so students hope to mark the first performance with a bang.
RAD’s Associate Director – Early Years and Creative Projects Gia Gray said: “It will be a joy to see dancers of all ages from RAD’s Dance School perform at such a much-loved venue. Whether you are watching or taking part, dance has such a positive effect on your wellbeing. Seasons will be a fun and accessible show whatever your knowledge of dance. Hope to see you there!”
