A host of well-known faces have turned out to help Warwick Castle launch the world’s first Zog Playland today (April 2).
Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt, former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan and The One Show television presenter Alex Jones were among the glamorous mums who brought their children along to kick off the Easter Holidays with some family time trying out the slides, zip wires and play equipment.
The castle hosted the VIP launch ahead of Zog Playland opening to the public tomorrow (April 3), and other stars keen to experience the imaginative new attraction included actresses ) Sally Wood (film producer and other half of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood), as well as explorer and television host Ed Stafford and his equally adventurous wife Laura Bingham.
Meanwhile, hands-on celebrity dads who enjoyed the day with their families included EastEnders actor James Bye, former England international rugby player Dylan Hartley and dad bloggers and married couple Rich and Lew, known on Instagram as twodadsinlondon.
The new Zog Playland is based on the popular Zog and the Flying Doctors sequel, by author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, and adds a fantastic new product for superfans of the loveable dragon that combines sensory and physical play elements for children up to the age of 10, as well as accessible activities.
Featuring colourful dragons, zip wires and slides – to name just a few of the exciting features – Zog Playland will offer plenty of opportunities for children to immerse themselves into the imaginative world they know and love from the popular books and films.
The creators have worked hard to include accessible elements in the carefully designed playground, including DDA compliant walkways and access to Princess Pearl’s Tower, as well as multi-sensory elements.
Zog Playland also includes activities to aid development for young children.
