General Manager, Paul Green added: “We are delighted that Sam has extended her deal with the club. Sam is a leader and one of the world’s best strikers and goalscorers. She has been very important to our success, and we look forward to welcoming her back from injury next season.”

Lydia Griffiths, Women’s Senior Communications Manager, Chelsea FC said: “Sam’s a valued member of the club and has been a huge part of this history-making women’s team. The Bridge has been Chelsea’s home for nearly 120 years and we know how much it means to Blues fans. We’ve been pioneers for the Women’s game and we will continue to lead the way with our athletes and our Club as we aim to reach even greater heights of success next season.”
