Last weekend, Chestertons Polo in the Park celebrated its 15th edition with an action-packed three days which saw Argentina win the international match and lift the Olympic Trophy , with Team Riyadh once again reigning victorious and winning the Chestertons Polo in the Park Trophy.
The weather did nothing to dampen spirits, with over 25,000 guests in attendance over the course of the three days, including an impressive guest list of celebrities and influencers. Joining the revellers this year were the likes of Love Island alumni Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Teddy Soares, Made in Chelsea stars Sophie Hermann, Yasmine Zweegers, Alice Yaxley, Francesca Newman-Young, and Beks Collins, Big Brother’s Henry Southan, model India Rawsthorn, and TikToker Henry Rowley, making for a star-studded event.
This year’s international match brought together England and Argentina – two of the world’s most renowned polo nations – in a thrilling sporting match during Friday’s event, which saw Argentina take the title with a score of 8-4. Team Riyadh then went on to take the Chestertons Polo in the Park title in an exciting final on Sunday afternoon, beating Arkham Team Punta Cana with a score of 10-5. The official team jerseys for this year’s matches were provided by the U.S. Polo Assn. – the official apparel sponsor for Chestertons Polo in the Park.
In between matches, guests also enjoyed a spot of shopping at the luxury shopping village, with stores including U.S. Polo Assn., Tom Trunks, and Finlay & Co. The Fulham Food Festival ensured eventgoers had plenty of options to indulge in, while drinks were flowing throughout the weekend at the Champagne Pommery, Pimentae, Prime Time Lager, and Norton Wine bars. The newly launched CALA tent also proved popular among guests, with a VELO x Lab 54 day party takeover on Sunday afternoon bringing the vibes to round off the weekend.
Sunday’s event added a dose of family-friendly fun as the event became London’s biggest kids’ party for the morning, with Sharky & George and TARKA London on hand to keep the little ones entertained, and football sessions with the Fulham FC Foundation, netball skills sessions with the Maverick Netball team, and an introduction to polo with the Hertfordshire Polo Academy also available throughout the day. Before the afternoon polo matches kicked off at 2pm, the ‘Knights of Middle England’ took to the pitch, entertaining onlookers with an epic display of jousting, trick riding, and medieval battle skills.
