Last night,
Chestertons Polo in the Park
celebrated the start of the social season with a glitzy launch event at
Bluebird Chelsea,
ahead of the 14th
edition of the three-day tournament, this year taking place from 06 to 08 June.
An impressive guest list of movers and shakers including celebrities, influencers, media were in attendance to celebrate the launch of this year’s event.
The guest list included the likes of former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, football legend
Thiago Alcântara, Love Island alumni Teddy Soares, and Made in Chelsea stars Yasmine Zweegers
and Alice Yaxley, to name but a few. Several leading polo players were also in attendance on the evening, including
Malcolm Borwick and Alfredo Bigatti.
The evening saw the announcement of this year’s international match, which will be played between
England and Argentina – two of the world’s most renowned polo nations – promising a thrilling sporting spectacle. The team draw for the rest of the weekend was also announced, with
Arkham Team Punta Cana to take on Team London in the first match, followed by
Infinox Team Zurich and Team Riyadh for the second game, with Standing Rock Team Rapid City playing
Qatar Polo Club Team Doha for the third match. Also unveiled on the night were the official jerseys for this year’s matches, sponsored by the
U.S. Polo Assn. – the official apparel sponsor for Chestertons Polo in the Park.
Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés provided by Bluebird Chelsea, while drinks were provided by Chestertons Polo in the Park’s drinks sponsors, including
Champagne Pommery, Norton Wines, Prime Time Beers, Pimentae, and
Double Dutch, proving popular among the revellers.
