Chiswick High Road site set to be one of the largest commercial properties to go under the hammer

A mixed-use, island site on Chiswick High Road is set to be one of the largest ever commercial properties to go under the hammer at a property auction on 9th December.

Allsop, the UK’s largest property auction house, is quoting a guide price of £12 million+ for the extensive property which is well-located overlooking Turnham Green. The freehold comprises four shops including Ryman and Flying Tiger, a vet, dentist, drama school, nursery, offices, two flats and ten parking spaces.

The property (lot 32 for Allsop’s 9th December commercial auction) is part of an emerging trend for higher value commercial properties being sold at auction, driven by the speed and certainty of the unconditional auction contract.

Gregor Campbell, the auctioneer at Allsop responsible for selling the lot, said: “This is a rare opportunity to purchase an unbroken freehold island site investment located in wealthy Chiswick, comprising retail, community uses, and residential space. The buyer will have the opportunity either to manage the property to continue drawing in an attractive rental income, or to reconfigure or repurpose for potential other uses.”

Allsop’s next commercial auction will be live-streamed on 09 December 2025. The auction will offer up lots across the country, ranging from the Chiswick site guided at £12m+ to a vacant property in Derby guided at £25,000+.
