Students from Christ the King Sixth Form College will showcase their creativity, talent and personal development at an end-of-year exhibition at Lewisham Shopping Centre this weekend.
Christ the King Sixth Form College is set to host its annual event at Lewisham Shopping Centre from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June 2025, between 10am and 4pm. The free exhibition marks the culmination of the student’s academic and creative journeys, offering them a platform to showcase the results of months of dedication and hard work.
2D and 3D artwork, showreels, video projects, and moving image installations will be available to view – all created by aspiring artists and media professionals from CTK’s UAL Level 2 and Level 3 Art & Design courses and BTEC Creative Digital Media Production. This year’s showcase also includes outstanding work from students at Deptford Green School, celebrating collaboration and emerging talent across the local community.
Open to the public, the exhibition invites audiences to explore and enjoy the students’ work, uncovering the stories and inspirations behind each piece. It offers students a valuable opportunity to see their creations through the eyes of others, while celebrating their achievements, growth and creative potential as they prepare for the next stage of their careers.
Paul Redden, Centre Director at Lewisham Shopping Centre, said: “We’re proud to support Christ the King Sixth Form College to present this inspiring exhibition. It’s a privilege to offer a public platform for the next generation of artists and aspiring media professionals to share their talents with the local community. Their work is not only impressive in its creativity and technical skill, but it also reflects the energy, innovation, and diversity that make Lewisham such a vibrant cultural hub. We encourage everyone to pop down to visit the exhibition and experience the talent of these remarkable students firsthand.”
Christ the King’s Art & Design courses provide students the chance to experiment with a wide variety of tools, materials, and techniques as they explore fine art, 3D and textile design, graphic design, and photography. In their first year, students build foundational skills essential to the creative process, and in their second year, they develop a personal portfolio of work that reflects their creative director and personal identify within a specialist area of their choice.
The Creative Digital Media Production course is tailored for those aiming for careers in film, TV, photography, advertising, and digital content creation. With modules in film and sound editing, digital photography, and advertising production, the course equips students with the practical and technical skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving media landscape.
The exhibition is open to the public at Lewisham Shopping Centre from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June, 10am – 4pm. For further information, please visit: https://www.lewishamshopping.co.uk/
