City-Wide Search Launched for London’s Most Knowledgeable Cabbie

0

A city-wide search is underway to find London’s most knowledgeable black cab driver. Thistle Hotels, with key sites in the heart of London, is leading the charge, seeking a local cabbie whose street smarts, hidden-gem know-how and unmatched charm will earn them the job as the brand’s official ‘Knowledge Keeper’.

The chosen ‘Knowledge Keeper’ won’t just be ferrying guests across the city, they will also be steering the Thistle team in the right direction. Acting as a cultural consultant and local legend-in-residence, the successful cabbie will advise Thistle on cabbie-curated itineraries filled with off-the-beaten-path gems that only a true Londoner would know, creating videos for social media with top tips and secret locations to unlock in the capital. Think lesser-known landmarks; the best bacon sarnie before 9am; pubs with proper character; and routes that even Google Maps hasn’t clocked!

This position has been created alongside an exciting new chapter for Thistle, after having recently undergone a full brand refresh, with a select collection of Thistle hotels now known as ‘by Thistle’, reflecting a reimagined vision and an elevated offering that champions distinct, location-led experiences.

Lauren Barrett, marketing manager for Thistle Hotels, said: “We know that truly memorable journeys are made by interactions with real people and real recommendations. We want to bring the human touch back to hotel stays by celebrating the London cabbies who make London so great, giving our guests the very best the capital has to offer. No algorithm can compete with the wisdom and personal touch of a true Londoner behind the wheel – and at Thistle, we want to work with the best and create some truly helpful content to guide people around this glorious city!”
