London’s Connaught Village proudly announces the return of Connaught Village Art Month this October, a celebration of art and culture featuring exhibitions in the village’s leading galleries alongside pop-ups and events.

Connaught Village is pleased to be supporting artists from Acme Studios this October, with a pop-up exhibition space to showcase their work during Art Month. This year’s programme features a takeover exhibition, ‘Anemoia’, curated by Acme Studios artists, Eleanor McLean, Ellie Pearch, and Jacob Talkowski. Participating galleries and auction houses resident in Connaught Village include Dorothy Circus, CasildArt, Lyon & Turnbull, Rob & Nick Carter and Matt Carey Williams.

Special Events:
Art Talk with Anemoia – 15 October, 6–7pm: Join the artists for an intimate discussion about their work and the themes behind the exhibition.
Mosaic Workshop – 24 October: Hosted by the Eleanor McLean. More details to follow.

Highlights include:

‘Flog’, debut solo show at Dorothy Circus – Running from 9 October until 30 October, the debut London exhibition by Flog, a French street artist whose raw, poetic style has earned him growing acclaim across Europe. Known for his emotionally charged interventions in public space, Flog now brings his work into the gallery for the first time, offering a new lens on his visual storytelling.

‘Anemoia’, curated by and presenting artists from Acme Studios – Running from 13 October until 23 October, this exhibition explores nostalgia as a cultural phenomenon through sculpture and installation. Inspired by John Koenig’s The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, where “anemoia” is defined as the feeling of nostalgia for a time never personally experienced, the artists connect the tactile with the virtual and poetic, suggesting that technology can foster curiosity, reflection, and community. Curated by Acme Studios artists, the show features work by Eleanor McLean, Ellie Pearch and Jacob Talkowski.

Scene VII: In His Own Image at CasildART – From 17 October – 6 November, explore In His Own Image at CasildART, London. Curated by Sukai Eccleston and presented in partnership with White & Case LLP, His Own Image brings together ten Black male artists whose work interrogates the politics of visibility and self-representation. The exhibition unapologetically centres the Black male gaze, offering intimate, defiant and transformative visions of identity shaped by family, community and diaspora.

‘October Sales’ at Lyon & Turnbull – Running throughout October, Lyon & Turnbull presents a dynamic programme of specialist auctions, each offering a distinct glimpse into the world of fine art, design and collectibles. Beginning on 14 October with Prints & Multiples, the month continues with London Jewellery on 22 October, followed by Travel & Vintage Posters on 29 October. On 30 October, the spotlight turns to Lalique, showcasing exquisite glassworks, and MODERN MADE, one of the house’s largest sales, held across two sessions on 30 and 31 October. These three sales will be on view and hosted at Mall Galleries, London, offering collectors and enthusiasts a chance to engage with rare and remarkable pieces in person.

‘Episode III: Chris Huen Sin-kan, ‘The Path and The Fog, Part II’ & ‘Scene XIII: Microcosm’ at Matt Carey-Williams – Running throughout the month until 10 November, ‘The Path and The Fog, Part II’ follows Huen’s largest presentation of work in the UK at The Bomb Factory. Culminating in nine paintings on paper, this body of work continues to explore the vagaries of human experience as filtered through the so-called ‘ordinary’ life of the artist. In these often small, precious, jewel-like works on paper, Huen beautifully displays the tremulous nature of experience, his brush weaving between pillars of memory and invention, being and becoming. ‘Scene XIII: Microcosm’, is a group exhibition featuring three recently graduated painters from the Royal College of Art who each explore the multivalence of abstraction. Maintaining the power and dynamism of the monumental, the three artists, Isabella Amram, Gena Milanesi and Daniel Roibal – present smaller scale paintings, some measuring less than a square foot, that convey a generosity of scale and fluidity.

Neon Light Works at RNat5A – Rob and Nick Carter are pleased to announce Neon Light Works, a new exhibition at their studio gallery RNat5A, opening 17 October 2025.The exhibition Neon Light Works brings together several neon-based series by the Carters, showcasing their exploration of neon as both a material and conceptual medium. It features idiomatic text pieces from Language of Colour, reimagined historical forms like Dancer II, a glowing line drawing inspired by Andy Warhol, and works influenced by colour theory and optical illusions, including tributes to Josef Albers and the Poggendorff Illusion. Colour-changing lightboxes from their Spectrum Circle series further extend their visual language. Overall, the exhibition reflects the Carters’ ongoing interest in the intersection of light, perception, and contemporary reinterpretation.
