DLD College London Strengthens Senior Leadership Team

DLD College London, the multi-award-winning independent school based on Westminster Bridge Road, has announced the appointment of Katherine Bimson, CMgr FCMI, as the new Vice Principal (Academic) from September 2025.

With over 14 years of experience in education and a wealth of leadership expertise, Katherine brings a deep commitment to academic excellence and student-centred learning to the college.

Katherine began her professional journey in the private sector, holding several leadership positions before discovering her true calling in education. Since moving to the UK in 2010 to start her teaching career, Katherine has embraced every opportunity to inspire and develop young minds; she has held several leadership roles, including Assistant Principal (Pastoral) and senior leadership positions focused on Teaching and Learning.

In addition to undertaking a Graduate Teaching Programme (QTS) at Canterbury Christ Church University, England, and securing an MSc in Education Leadership and Management from the University of Roehampton, Katherine is also a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI), highlighting her strong foundation in strategic educational leadership. Katherine’s passion for professional development stems from a core belief that high-quality teaching and learning is transformative, unlocking the potential of students and shaping futures.

Speaking on her appointment, Katherine said: “I am excited to be joining DLD College London as Vice Principal (Academic). DLD’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and student-centred learning aligns perfectly with my own educational philosophy. I look forward to working collaboratively with students, staff and the wider community to continue fostering an environment where every learning can thrive and achieve their full potential.”
