Ealing Broadway announces half-term programme of free events and family fun

Classrooms across London are closed this week (16th – 20th February) as children enjoy February half term. To help families spend quality time together, Ealing Broadway has unveiled a packed programme of creative, exciting and low-cost activities to make the most of.

From free plant giveaways and fairground rides to great-value dining and leisure offers, there’s something for all ages and interests to get involved with this half term.

Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing Broadway, said: “February half term is always a lively time at Ealing Broadway, and it’s great to be partnering with local independent plant store Greenka once again for our much-loved Plant Giveaway. It’s a wonderful opportunity for visitors of all ages to take home a free plant while discovering everything else the centre has to offer — from Gutterball and our range of retailers to family dining. We’re proud to host events that bring a little extra joy and wellbeing to the community.”

February half-term highlights at Ealing Broadway include:

Free plant giveaway with Greenka: Back by popular demand, Ealing Broadway is celebrating February half term with a free plant giveaway in partnership with much-loved independent plant store, Greenka. Taking place outside Tesco on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February (11am–4pm), shoppers can pick up one of 800 free houseplants, while stocks last. Perfect for everyone from seasoned green fingers to those just starting out, with Greenka’s knowledgeable team will also be on hand to offer tips and advice on how to keep the plants thriving.

Fairground fun for a good cause: Two rides, including teacups and a train ride, will be in the Town Square all week, bringing a touch of fairground excitement at £3 per ride. In a feel-good twist, 10% of all profits will be donated to the centre’s charity partner, Home-Start Ealing, helping to support local families across the borough.

Kids eat free this half term: Both Turtle Bay and Comptoir Libanais are offering a free kids’ meal when an accompanying adult spends £15 or more this week, helping families save on delicious meals out together. Visit the restaurant websites in advance for terms & conditions.

Get competitive at Gutterball: Gutterball offers a jam-packed two hours of fun from £16.50 a person, including an hour of bowling, and another activity to choose from, whether that’s pool, darts, karaoke or shuffleboard, alongside a drink. Book in advance here.
