Ealing Broadway is bringing festive traditions to life once again with the return of its popular Carrot Cabin – a free Christmas giveaway to help families prepare for Santa’s all-important Christmas Eve visit.

On Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th December, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, Ealing Broadway is inviting families to collect a free mince pie and carrot to leave out on Christmas Eve to ensure Santa and his crew are well-fed ahead of their long journey.

The free treats will be available from the ‘Carrot Cabin’ while stocks last, located within the Christmas Market area in front of Tesco Express.

The initiative celebrates the magical traditions that families cherish, while offering a helping hand at a time when many households are mindful of rising costs.

Alongside the Carrot Cabin, visitors can still enjoy Ealing Broadway’s wider festive programme, including the Christmas Markets located in Town Square, live brass band performances, daily snow flurries and special character appearances inspired by much-loved festive films. This includes:

Saturday 20th December: Christmas magic brass band (30-minute intervals at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm).
Sunday 21st December: Magician elf and Christmas coins giveaway – (30-minute intervals at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm)
Monday 22nd December and Tuesday 23rd December: Buddy inspired by Elf (30-minute intervals at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm)

Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing Broadway, said: “The Carrot Cabin was a huge success last year, with thousands of families picking up free treats ahead of Christmas Eve, so we’re delighted to bring it back for another year. Christmas Eve traditions mean so much to families, and we love being able to play a role in making them feel even more special.

“We look forward to seeing lots of families there – helping everyone to get into the Christmas spirit!”
