A leading hardware and decorating merchant in Earl’s Court will re-open its doors on Monday.
The Earl’s Court branch of Leyland SDM, based on Old Brompton Road, has been closed since the UK entered lockdown due to coronavirus on March 23. Measures have now been put in place to allow the branch to resume its service from Monday, while adhering to all government guidelines on social distancing by limiting customer access in the store.
There are 23 Leyland SDM branches across London, with all but one of them now open to assist the people of London with carrying out essential maintenance and DIY repairs.
Jonathan Jennings, Chief Executive at Leyland SDM, said: “The plan at Earl’s Court is to limit customer access by the creation of a counter type service which means that social distancing can be maintained.”
Branch manager Greg Stolarski added: “Even though we have been closed over recent weeks, there has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes to ensure we can re-open while meeting the government guidelines to safely do so.
“All members of the branch team are very excited about resuming operations and we look forward to welcoming the people of Earl’s Court back into their local branch and providing a high level of service for their essential maintenance and DIY requirements during this time.”
The branch will be open from 8am-5pm from Monday to Saturday but closed on a Sunday.
