The low-carbon, affordable hotel chain, easyHotel,
has unveiled its newly refurbished hotel in Paddington, London. Located at 10 Norfolk Place, London, W2 1QL, the property has undergone a £1 million refurbishment, with 47 refreshed and enhanced rooms, a transformed reception area, and new low-carbon features
throughout.
The new low-carbon room design combines comfort and affordability, as guests will be able to relax with the brand’s signature 4-star style mattresses, enhanced soundproofing, and super-fast Wi-Fi, offering a restful stay for business and leisure travellers
alike. The rooms have all been refurbished with the brands’ key focus on low carbon. Environmentally conscious low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) materials were used in the new vinyl flooring and wall coverings, accompanied by natural pine furniture, all
in the mission to make eco-conscious stays affordable.
The refurbishment extends beyond the room design, as the reception has been transformed to suit the needs of London’s business travellers. New additions include a comfortable workstation, highchairs, and a coffee machine allowing guests on the go a place to
work.
In line with easyHotel’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while improving guest experience, this hotel will reduce annual CO2 output by approximately 10,018 kg, equivalent to planting 460 trees per year. This total reduction is supported by several
low-carbon improvements throughout the hotel, such as an upgraded air conditioning system and complete LED lighting, which will reduce power consumption by 23.8% and 77.1% respectively. Additionally, switching from gas to electric heating alone has resulted
in a 70.1% reduction in CO2 emissions.

Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel said: “The Paddington refurbishment is a great example of our ongoing work in city-centre stays. We’ve upgraded comfort, cut carbon, and kept costs low for guests – a combination that’s at the heart of our brand. This project
is part of a wider strategy to modernise our hotels while staying true to what easyHotel does best: making central stays affordable and low carbon.”
Heshem Shuman, General Manager at easyHotel Paddington said: “After 17 years of serving guests at easyHotel Paddington, we are thrilled to unveil our £1 million refurbishment. The hotel’s fresh look, low-carbon model rooms and transformed reception area
will give our guests an even more comfortable and enjoyable stay. Also, its prime location just a quick walk from Paddington train station allows guests to explore the local area and wider city with ease.”
This £1 million refurbishment is the latest in the brand’s series of low-carbon revamps, including the recently unveiled £2 million refurbishment at easyHotel London Victoria. It is also a continuation of a prior separate £6.4 million investment across the
Group’s owned and leased properties, aimed at cutting CO2 emissions by 25%.
