Financial expert and TV personality, Emmanuel Asuquo will be lending his support once again to the annual NSPCC maths fundraising event, Number Day.

As an NSPCC ambassador, Emmanuel will be visiting St Paul’s C of E Primary School in Barnet on Thursday, November 20th to start the celebrations.

Number Day itself will take place on Friday, February 6th 2026, with schools taking part in a range of maths related activities. These activities aim to enthuse children about mathematics as well as fundraise for the NSPCC.

Emmanuel said: “For me, Number Day is essential. It’s a chance to remind young people that numbers are a life skill. Financial literacy and numeracy prepare them for the real world, yet these topics are often pushed aside for others.

“I love that we use Number Day to go into schools, talk about money, and help children build good financial habits early. Empowering them young means they grow up confident with money. That’s why I’m proud to be an NSPCC ambassador for Number Day and will continue to support it for years to come.”

Emmanuel will kick off the day with an interactive assembly with children from Years 5 and 6 in the school hall, followed by two 30-minute workshop sessions.

Financial expert and TV personality Emmanuel Asuquo has previously presented programmes such as the BBC’s Our Money Journey documentary and regularly appears on Channel 4 and ITV. With over 20 years of financial experience and expertise, Emmanuel has held positions in Barclays Bank and KW Wealth. Emmanuel is also the author of the books, The Ultimate Guide to Money and Get Your Money Right, which helps to educate both adults and children on how to be financially literate.

This year, children can take part in a new activity called Enterprising Business Project. Introduced through a video by Emmanuel, teams must decide on a business name, location and what they will sell, make or distribute, in order to learn more about the world of business and entrepreneurship.

Across the UK on Number Day, there will be a plethora of activities for children to enjoy, including Pythagoras and his theory of music and Pythagoras of Samos and his pretty number patterns, created by legendary maths legend and TV presenter, Johnny Ball.

For 2026, the NSPCC has partnered with Whizz Education, Schools and Academies Show, Numberblocks, and the Science Museum.

Katie Fudge, NSPCC Fundraising Manager said, “We are thrilled to have Emmanuel back with us to celebrate Number Day for 2026. “Number Day is so important because it gives children the opportunity to explore their love of maths.

“Around 90 per cent of the NSPCC’s income comes from supporters, including schools, and the charity simply couldn’t run its vital services that help so many children and young people without such support. Every pound raised adds up.”

Schools and nurseries can sign up to Number Day for free at www.nspcc.org.uk/numberday or email numberday@nspcc.org.uk for more information.
