Leadenhall Market is putting on a mood boosting light and audio trail this January, to give Londoners an uplifting start to the year amongst the beautiful Victorian architecture of one of London’s oldest marketplaces.
With colour changing LED light festoons, new window displays from artist-in-residence James Hudson and relaxing audio spots placed around the Market, visitors can enjoy a mindful break whilst out walking or visiting the boutique shops and restaurants under Leadenhall Market’s covered arches.
In place from 7th January, the installation forms part of the Market’s ‘wellness month’, which aims to help visitors kickstart their year with a healthy mindset and lifestyle. The audio trail is signalled via spots on the Market’s cobbles and is accessible via the Echoes App, including sounds of birdsong and ASMR tracks. Special self-led walking routes that go via the Market have also been designed to inspire people to make the most of the city on foot.
