Films to be screened include: the UK premiere of the meditative thriller ‘A Man’ from award winning director, Kei Ishikawa, which won 8 Japanese film awards 2023, the short film HOME by Christine Saab, hailing from a Japanese mother and a Greek-Lebanese father, a young director who grew up in Dubai goes searching for her own identity and the documentary ‘Deciphering Japan’, which explores a new era in Japan, considering issues that have both galvanised and polarised the nation. A Q&A will be held with both directors.
