Brazilian brand FARM Rio is breathing new life into end-of-year classics with its signature tropical flair.
To celebrate the holiday season, FARM Rio Carnaby will feature a bespoke decoration developed in partnership with Pirilampos do Planeta.
A vibrant light installation will transform the store’s front window, incorporating meters of LED strip lighting and upcycled plastic waste sourced primarily from the beauty and fashion industries. The composition also features hand-painted glass by one of FARM Rio’s print designers Paulo Marcelo Oz, playfully integrating the brand’s holiday campaign elements (think toucans and macaws coexisting with festive ribbons and ornaments).
Developed in collaboration with three waste picker collectives from the State of Rio de Janeiro, the installation directly benefits approximately 60 families while reinforcing FARM Rio’s commitment to responsible socio-environmental practices through the transformation of discarded materials into contemporary craftsmanship.
The initiative extends beyond Carnaby, on King’s Road street, also in London, and traveling to FARM Rio Soho in New York and Casa FARM in Rio de Janeiro, where a colorful Christmas tree will take over the sidewalk in front of the brand’s flagship.
