To mark its Halloween celebration this year, KidZania London, the indoor role-play centre built just for kids, is inviting children to come and fight their fears this October with a spine-tingling adventure around the creepy cobbles of KidZania’s city.
KidZania London offers children aged 4 to 14 a unique 75,000 sq ft mini-world where “kids rule”. Here they can work, earn, spend and save and get their first taste of independence through ultra-realistic career role-play in a safe environment.
Aiming to build confidence and give young adventurers a sense of empowerment, KidZania’s interactive Fight Your Fears Trail will give kids the chance to face some common childhood fears such as stage fright, public speaking, fear of doctors and the fear of flying. KidZania’s brave little visitors will be able to tick off each ‘fear’ they have faced on the trail, and upon completion – head to the bank to hand in their achievements – where children may be rewarded with a treat… or a trick!
KIDS CAN FACE THEIR FEARS AT LOTS OF ESTABLISHMENTS THIS HALLOWEEN:
THE NATIONAL THEATRE: Children can boost their confidence with a visit to the National Theatre. Be part of a Wizard of Oz production performed at KidZania’s National Theatre – helping to face any fears of stage fright head on with KidZania’s warm and friendly acting coaches
THE ACTING ACADEMY: Children can brush up on their public speaking skills by joining the Frankenstein Stand-Up Comedy Club. Here kids can tell their favourite jokes and have lots of fun cheering up Frankenstein’s creator in the Acting Academy
AVIATION ACADEMY: Head over to the British Airways Aviation Academy to face any flying fears and fear of heights. Here children will get the chance to learn how a plane works and have a go at being a pilot on a flight simulator
ALDER HEY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL: Fear of the doctor is a common fear, but at the mini Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, children will get chance to be a doctor and learn all about surgery in a safe environment
SPY AGENCY: Here, children will get the chance to overcome a fear of the unknown. The Spy Agency is all about problem solving, making mistakes and learning from them so they can save KidZania from a computer virus!
THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: Become an engineer and have a go at climbing through overhead tunnels to overcome any worries about being in small spaces as a KidZania technician – helping to fix the vents in the mini city

That’s why we’ve created a fun immersive trail where children can conquer some common ‘real life’ fears while having fun. Our mini-city gives children a chance to play out experiences, and our belief is that this can lead them to feeling empowered and having more confidence in real world situations.”
From mid October, children will be able to experience the Festival of Fright with witches, wizards and ghosts on every corner of KidZania’s mini city. Hitch a ride on the City Bus which will be doing ‘Ghost-Bus-Tours’, write up a ghastly story for the Metro newspaper, design Halloween costumes at the Fashion Studio and have a go at learning a spooktacular dance in the Dance Studio. All little visitors are encouraged to wear their scariest fancy dress outfit to help them face their fears this October!
